The Kit Carson Home & Museum was once the home of the famous scout and army general when he resided in Taos. Today, the 12-room adobe house is furnished as it was when the family lived there, though much of the house has been converted into a museum exploring the world of the famous mountainman. The home is located in the downtown area, adjacent to Kit Carson Memorial Park.
Open Winter: daily 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Summer: daily 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Adults $5; Children under 16 are free.
