The Taos Art Museum is housed within the 1927 home of Russian artist Nicolai Fechin, who molded the Adobe architecture into a combination of Russian, Spanish and Native American symbolism. The highlight of the museum is the amazing collection of work done by the Taos Society of Artists, an influential group of 12 artists that shaped art in the area to this very day. The museum is located in the downtown area, across the street from Kit Carson Memorial State Park.
