The Harwood Museum of Art is focused on showcasing works done by contemporary and classic Taos artists, as well as displays and artifacts that explore the region's colorful history. The permanent collection at the museum features 1,700 pieces of art from Taos residents across the ages, including a photographic archive filled with nearly 17,000 pictures. The museum is located downtown, near Kit Carson Memorial Park.
